Static Panels

Static panels are built-in components of the solution that appear in response to specific actions on the point of sale terminal. When selecting a panel, security settings can be applied to the action buttons within that screen. This page outlines each panel and explains when it is used.

If there are multiple themes available select a theme before choosing the security option

The following static panels are assigned to the security section:

Confirm Clock Out with Open Accounts

The prompt displayed when a POS operator who has open accounts attempts to clock out and open accounts are still assigned to them

Zonal recommends to use Transfer Ownership to change the owner of open accounts if an operator is to be prevented with open accounts upon clock out

Confirm Clock Out with Park Accounts

The prompt displayed when a POS operator who has park accounts attempts to clock out and park accounts are not yet actioned

 
Confirm Clock Out with Unfinalised Payments

Standalone Mode Reconciliation

The screen displayed when a POS operator attempts to take a terminal out of standalone mode and start the reconciliation of accounts that were handled offline

 
Transfer Account in Use

The prompt displayed when a POS operator attempts to merge an account when the account being merged with is already in use by another operator

 

Setting Security

Follow these steps to apply security settings to buttons:

Role Based Security

  1. Select a Static Panel from the drop down

  2. Double click on a button

  3. Deselect Job Roles that are not able to perform the function

  4. Click OK

Time Based Security

Time based security can be used in conjunction with role base security.

  1. Select a Static Panel from the drop down

  2. Double click on a button

  3. Click Add

  4. Set the Start and Time of the security period

  5. Select the required Days that the security period applies

  6. Click OK

  7. Adjust the Job Roles that can access the button during the time period

  8. Additional time periods can be added to meet the requirements of the organisation where different roles can access the button at different day and times
